Zona Reina

I was invited by a friend to go with him to an area called "Zona Reina" this week. He had lived/worked there many years ago, and was headed back to check on a school project. 

What a trip. 6-7 hours north of us, much of which was 4x4 through the jungle. Tough place to get to. The mountains are treacherous with edges that are a straight drop off. In fact our host lost one of his closest friends last year after his car slipped off the mountain's edge. It's really no surprise that there are no missionaries here.

The village itself was beautiful... deep in the rain forest.

We were able to encourage some local pastors, and share the gospel with the school staff and encouraged them to endure. There is much need in this difficult place.
